Good to know

Owl's Stay is a 5 Bedroom and 5.5 Bath retreat and Galena is a perfect excuse to get away. Here you can bring the whole family, extended family, celebrate the bachelor/bachelorette, make it a couple's weekend or keep it simple with just the guys or just the gals!! You'll find 4 bedrooms with private bathrooms (located main floor and 3 on upper level). The 5th bedroom has two queen beds and utilizes the lower level full bath down the hall. All living and bed rooms have new flat screen SMART TV's, bring your logins or utilize our guest Amazon Prime account. After a busy day, there's room for everyone on the large sectional to unwind. Enjoy home cooked meals w/ 3 dining tables (in/out). We have two large empty drawers in the kitchen to store all your groceries so you can keep the counters clean. There is a double oven and an outdoor gas grill for cooking big meals! Head downstairs for a night of fun, challenge your group to a game of pool, ping pong, darts or a friendly game of poker!! Plenty of seats and sliding screen door to enjoy the lower level deck and the views!! Before calling it a night, soak in the Hot Tub or gather around the Fire Pit and take time to catch up!

We have provided 6 Owner's Club cards; which are needed per person to enjoy the amenities and parking passes that will also needed to park at the club. You can purchase temporary guest pass at the Owner’s Club Complex for $5.

The Galena Territory is a semi-private, 6,800-acre private recreational and residential lake community located six miles outside the historic city of Galena in Northwest Illinois. Property owners in the low-density planned residential community collectively own 1,900 acres of recreational amenities in addition to their own properties. These include 31 miles of walking/hiking trails, Lake Galena for boating and outstanding fishing, a marina complex, an equestrian center, and a state-of-the-art pool/recreation complex. The Galena Territory boasts spectacular vistas, valleys, prairies, and woodlands, and harbor rare plant and bird species found nowhere else in Illinois. With a commitment to protecting and preserving this natural environment, The Galena Territory was designated a Community Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation in 2010. On Jan. 11, 2021 The Galena Territory Was Named As A Dark Sky Friendly Development Of Distinction Award Recipient.

You’ll have the entire home to yourself. We do have a two locked closets for contractor and housekeeper, you wouldn’t want access unless you wanted to clean on your vacation!

My friends and i had an amazing time! The house was very clean! We’re a busy bunch and there was so much for us to do at the house! The location was perfect everything around us was no longer than 10 mins. Lisa was very kind and helpful whenever we needed anything. Would definitely stay again it was a blast!

From the moment we walked in, we immediately knew the place was perfect. We had a larger group- 5 couples, so the fact that we all had our own bathroom was huge! Lia is the perfect hostess and addressed any questions we had right away. Even going as far as offering to have a microwave delivered next day when the one in the house wasn't working properly. We will absolutely be booking again with Lia on our next trip to Galena!! Thank you for all you do and going above and beyond our expectations!!

Find us

Just a warning that it can be dark at night getting around The Territories or arriving at the house, simply because we are located in a Dark Sky Friendly neighborhood. You'll love seeing all the stars in the sky from our beautiful deck! Owl's Stay has enough parking for 3-4 cars in the driveway.
